In October, Dr. Bahira Trask visited the United Nations to speak about the importance of gender equality and the role of families at the United Nations Expert Group meeting on the implementation of the new Sustainable Development Goals and Agenda 2030. The UN’s Division for Social Policy and Development invited Dr. Trask, among other global experts, to “provide a strategic framework for addressing sustainable development from a social perspective.” The meeting agenda, and Dr. Trask’s paper and presentation can all be found on the UN’s Department of Economic and Social Affairs website.
