HDFS alumna now promotes student health at Harvard
HDFS alumna Amanda Ayers now works at Harvard University as it’s first general health educator. Ayers graduated from Human Services (formerly known as family and community services) and throughout her time at UD developed great experience in student wellness, and sexuality education which inspired her to follow a career in health programming for college students. UDaily spotlighted Amanda Ayers’ story of crafting her own opportunities with the support and guidance of HDFS professors and her supervisors at UD’s Student Wellness and Health Promotion. Ayers encourages students to “Network, meet people, learn what other people are doing that you’re interested in…Most people’s career paths aren’t straight–so know that you don’t have to follow someone else’s path to find your own.”
