Gabrielle Atienza Spencer
Gabrielle Atienza Spencer is a PhD student in Human Development and Family Sciences at the University of Delaware. Along with being a student in the department, Gabrielle has served as a teaching assistant, and is currently a research assistant. Her area of special interest involves First-Generation College Students (FGCS) and their families. Specifically, she has interest in how these students’ immediate families (parents/guardians/siblings) can play a part in affecting the overall First-Generation College Student experience. Prior to being enrolled in the PhD program, Gabrielle also earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Master of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences at the University of Delaware.
